Monday

So, it's Monday. I guess another week is starting. At least it's supposed to be cooler this week!!

Not much to say. But I am going to vent for a moment. So, I did some grocery shopping at Wal-Mart last night instead of Kroger (long story about why, but Kroger wasn't in the cards this week). Anyway, I DO NOT like the Wal-Mart on Red Bank Rd. Not only did I have to dodge rude shoppers and not find the selection that Kroger has, but then I had to wait in line for about 20 minutes. Why they think that only having 5 of the 60-some odd lanes open is acceptable, I'll never understand. Damn them for being so cheap with some stuff!!

Long time!

So, it has been a little while since I've updated anything. Lets see:

Had a great birthday weekend. Had dinner with my hubby - haven't done that for a while!! Saw Toy Story 3 with my Mom and Sis - really enjoyed the movie - and then had dinner with them. Had dinner with my Mom-in-Law, hubby, kids, Mom and Sis - great time!

Took my first 2 excursions out by myself with the boys. Went to the Museum Center and then the zoo. We all survived!!

Andrew is crawling!!

Matthew does not want Andrew playing with any of "his"toys.

Looking forward to Fireworks night with Tim and my Sis this Friday.

Been a while

So, it has been a little while since I updated anything. Last week was kind of rough - Andrew didn't want to sleep and Matthew was a 2-year-old. But now A is sitting up and crawling so he seems to be in a better place. And M is still a 2-year-old, but with us getting sleep, it's much easier to deal with!!

I did just finish a book I had had on hold since probably February. It was 'Last Train out of Hiroshima.' I was very excited to read it, until I found out that there is major controversy with one of the main sources. They have now pulled the book to correct it. It definately put a damper on the rest of the book. I still liked it (well, as much as you can like a book about the atom bombs dropped on Japan).

Not much else - off to get some sleep!!

A few days

Well, it's been a few days, and I'm pretty tired so this will be short. But I thought I should check in. We've had a bit of a regression with Andrew. He's teething, close to crawling, and has a cold so he has been a struggle. And Matthew is 2 so he is usually a struggle. Last week was kind of a long week, too. My sis was out of town and I definately miss talking to her on a regular basis (welcome back sis)!

Anyway, I really hope this week gets a little better. It's only Monday but it's been a LONG couple of days!!

Weekend

Well, Saturday wasn't great but Sunday was nice. Andrew slept until 8 am, Matthew slept until 9:30 and then Matthew and I went to the Museum Center. If you haven't been to the Children's Museum there, I HIGHLY recommend it. We had a blast!! Tim and M had been before, but this was my first time. I wanted to do a lot more - I didn't even get to see a lot before M started petering out. I think Tim and I are going to have to fight over who takes him again - or A is just going to have to go with us!!

Blah

So, this is going to be a pretty short post - it's been quite a day. Andrew woke up at 6 and then wouldn't take a nap. He has a little bit of a stuffy nose, but I think it's more of the 6-month regression. He is trying to crawl and I think he has a lot on his little mind. And Matthew doesn't nap, so Tim and I are pretty tired right now. Going to watch a little of ER (season 6) and then bed!

Swagbucks!!

So, I added a widget for Swagbucks. If you don't know what Swagbucks are, I'll give you a little info. Basically, you do searches, surveys, shopping, etc. and earn Swagbucks. Once you earn a certain amount, you can redeem them for products or giftcards. I had seen people advertise this on other blogs and websites, but I didn't really trust it. But after reading how some people did all their Christmas shopping using the giftcards they earned, I thought I would give it a try. Christmas time for us is VERY tight - having birthdays on the 21st and 28th with Christmas smack dab in the middle makes for an expensive week!! I figured even if I just got a couple of bucks, it'd be better than nothing. Long story short, I've actually earned $20 from Amazon - whooo-hoooo! So, I recommend checking it out. If you decide to sign up, I'd appreciate using me as a referral (so I can earn a few more bucks): Referral link . And I do recommend that if you do use them, just search for Google (or whoever you use for your search engine) and that way you can earn bucks but still use your regular search engine (theirs is not great).

Anyway, enough selling!! I see that I have 3 followers which is very exciting to me!! People like me, they really like me!!! Not much else going on - work and now home, looking forward to watching The Soup in a couple of hours. We do have Andrew's 6 month pictures tomorrow - hopefully we can get some good pics!

My first post!

Okay, so while my husband is watching the LeBron Decision (blah), I thought I would finally post something to my blog. Not really sure what I want to accomplish with this blog - I guess just random thoughts and stuff. My llife isn't that interesting, but I guess this will be kind of a journal for me.

For those of you who don't me (not sure who that would be), my name is Becky, I've been married to my husband Tim for almost 5 years (September 1o) and we have 2 boys, Matthew (2) and Andrew (6 months). I work at a pediatric medical journal, which has nothing to do with my college degree of history. It's a very small office (3 of us), but I do enjoy the people I work with!!

Not much else to add right this minute. But thanks for reading and I'll try to make future entries a little more interesting!!
